Horseback riding

Day 1

We gather at dalslands activities Kl. 09.00. A presentation of our horses, stables and equipment. At 11 o’clock we sit in the saddle on the way to Vägne.

All your personal equipment for overnight stays is transported by car to the campsite. What you need for today’s ride you bring with you in the saddle bag. (E.g. swimwear, rainwear)

When we have passed the farm Stora Havden we will enter the Dalsland forests. After about 2 hours we come down to the lake Grann where we usually stop for a bath or a coffee.
Now we continue further and pass the northern end of the lake and ride west. Now the ride goes on an old gravel road and we pass many nice cottages.

It will be lunch when we find a good place The lunch ends with coffee and bun

Back in the saddle, now we ride south and we usually arrive to our campsite about 18 o’clock. Now it is necessary to take care of the horses, desadling, water, fodder, searching and discharge in the pasture. When everything is ready, we gather at the patch where the luggage is in place, as well as tonight’s 2 course
Barbecue dinner.

Light beer or water is included, stronger beverage can be ordered or taken with. We gather around the campfire sitting on reindeer skins and when fatigue comes we crawl down into the sleeping bag

Day 2

Good morning! Breakfast for riders and horses. We pack our equipment and saddles. Ca Kl. 10 am we usually sit in the saddle and now we ride eastwards on the old road towards Norebyn. We stop for a coffee.

After about 12 a.m. We will descend to the southern end of the lake and ride on the east side again with the direction of Steneby. We pass Falkholts guesthouse and have about 1.5 hrs left until we are back in the stables.

The ride is expected to be completed about 14.00-15.00, then we are back at the stables where your baggage, which is collected, is in place. The party concludes with a lunch at the restaurant
Stenebygrytan.
